Porsche in Assetto Corsa. I cannot wait.
Looks like we’ll be getting the 919, the 918, the Cayman and Cayman GT4, pretty much all the 911s, the 917, and many more!

man i remember when Forza 2 came out on the 360 and Porsche was excluded because they’re licensing nazis. like 6 months after the game’s release they finally sort it out, and Microsoft has the nerve to charge extra money to download a Porsche car pack! never bought another Forza game. DLC is fine and dandy, but don’t charge for something that should have been in the game in the first place.

To be fair to Porsche, they were idiots in the early days and signed an extremely long exclusivity contract with EA. AC’s DLC have always been reasonably priced, so I’m happy to pick them up. The most expensive pack was $10, and included 10 cars and the Nurburgring in Nordschliefe, Tourist (starting and ending at the parking lot), and Endurance versions. I’m guessing Porsche will probably be $10-20 per pack, since they need to pay for the license from EA. Also, this is actually the first time Porsche has been in a sim in 12 years.

It’s hard to believe Porsche was so short-sighted. Even if they didn’t think video games were going to become popular, signing such a long term exclusivity deal was a terrible idea.

As Puff Daddy once said, “It’s all about the Benjamins, baby”. They probably just wanted the cash.

This is also with the fact that apparently at some point which I completely missed, they pushed the release date for consoles all the way till August.
Also, just a side note, wouldn’t it be awesome if Kunos pulled a Fallout 4 and had mods available for console? Like, the Assetto Corsa modding community is one of the best of all time, period. The things ASRformula in particular makes are just spectacular.
